On October 26, 2016 the Neighborhood Heritage and Sustainability Project  hosted (along with Binghamton University’s student affairs office, Safe Streets, Binghamton City School District, Horizons Federal Credit Union, Sam’s Club, and J & K Plumbing and Heating) the Fall Festival at Walnut Street Park for children from the neighborhood and across the city. Autumn being the season of mellow fruitfulness – the event was full of food, pumpkin decorating, and games.  Students from Binghamton University organized events while those from Binghamton High School provided the music.
